Good Job Andrew! 10 lbs. is great. I like your new phrase "stewing instead of stewardship" and "gluttony of self". We are all so vulnerable to this sort of thing. It really requires a renewing of our minds and a lifestyle change, not just a diet. I pray the Lord will continue to give you the necessary grace and endurance and that you will continually lean on Him.

Well said Andrew. Your mind is being renewed in a manner compatible to that of the mind of Christ. A change such as this is for a lifetime of good stewardship of the body that God has given you. A diet is only for a little while, but a renewed way thinking about eating and how you care for your body will affect you for your lifetime. Mom xxoo

Good post, Andrew. I, too, am pretty bothered when it comes to my eating and drinking habits. Practicing self-control and discipline can be so challenging... even when you know in your mind and heart how important it is to stay focused on being healthy. It's an ongoing battle that I hope someday to win... or at least put up a halfway decent fight.

Congratulations on your new Mac!

Two things that really hooked me on my MPB (13"):

1. Build quality - the quality of my laptop is over the top. One only need to type on a MBP to understand. Someone asked me this week why I spent "all that extra money on a Macbook?" Quality! I appreciate quality.

2. Ease of use - Having been a "PC" user since the days of the Compaq luggable, I continue to be amazed at how easily I was able to make the switch from PC to Mac. It just seems like a natural way to compute.

I, too, have read that story a couple of times and break down every time I read it. Em was special to all of us and she will be in my heart forever. For the short time we did have her, she stole all of our hearts.

I have read these stories before, but I always cry. I hope our little "Em" and her Greatgrandma Davis are enjoying each other's company. Emily's Papa was often at the other end of one of those sideways glances. He was hooked!

Don't stop writing Andrew. You have a wonderful way with words.
